Luke's a 3 month old!

Luke is a big 3 month old and I just cry with each passing month of him growing ツ

Some of my favorite things from this month:

+ Luke is starting to giggle. I thought I couldn't handle the smiles and now you add laughing with the smiles, and I die ツ

+ Luke loves when his dad gets home. While I don't love that he's already picking favorites, you can't help but just smile every time he smiles! And my time will come, lol.

+ His is very aware of his surroundings now. We went to Costco the other day and he was asleep as we were walking in, but he opened his eyes for a second, and it was like he was in a different universe...he opened them so wide and couldn't stop staring! I don't think he cried or made a peep the whole hour we were there because he was just so infatuated with it all! He also could probably watch TV all day long if we let him! He just loves looking around, being held up high, and taking everything in around him.

+ I watched Luke try to roll onto his belly for a few days and he got so so close! Then one day, I was working away on my computer with Luke next to me on his mat and the next thing I know, I look over and see him on his belly! It's so fun to watch him learn new things.

Things I've learned this month:

+ That my instincts of how to raise a baby are always true. I love learning, and learning about raising babies is no exception. While I love and appreciate learning about different parenting styles, being a mom is a lot of learning to trust yourself to do what you know feels right and forgiving yourself in advance if you mess up. My favorite kind of parenting advice is the advice that leads you to do what brings you the most peace and asking God to guide you. I think that is the most valuable advice of all.

+ The days can be long sometimes, but the weeks, and months fly by. I feel like time is slipping through my fingers. I already can look back on 2 month old and 1 month old pictures of Luke and see his face changing already. I really love watching him grow, but my heart physically hurts as the time flashes before my eyes. Such a bittersweet life that I feel so grateful to experience.
